Kicking Off At Arsenal
3rd September 2007 - 18:10

The spectacular Arsenal museum at the new Emirates Stadium opened in October 2006 and has become a must for all true 'gooners'. Arsenal Football Club has a long and distinguished history and the new museum charts it's formation and time at Woolwich, the 'Glory Years' at Highbury and now at its new home the Emirates Stadium.

Visitors can still expect their favourite exhibitions, lovingly transferred from Arsenal's old Highbury home, including Michael Thomas' boots from Anfield '89 and Charlie George's FA Final Cup shirt from 1971, along with a whole array of newly donated memorabilia. The facility features an impressive Legends Theatre and more than a dozen fully interactive sections based on Arsenal's proud history such as Championship winning managers, the Invincibles, the Arsenal Spirit and Highbury Stadium.

With the prestigious new stadium about to welcome a procession of VIP visitors prior to it's official opening, Leach Colour worked tirelessly with exhibition designers, Mather Associates and graphic designers 1977 Design to produce and install a whole raft of dynamic images. These were produced using both traditional screen printing methods and the latest digital technology. Text was screen printed on-site, directly onto concrete surfaces, while glass and acrylic panels were reverse mounted with vinyl and applied digital graphics. Any of these panels can be replaced or updated in the future, allowing the integrity of the original design to be maintained.

The result is an award winning museum, fit for an award winning club, with graphics produced by an award winning team.
